About Retail Lending

The Retail Lending department focuses on the lending business of the bank by offering various loan products like Home Loans, Car Loans, Personal Loans among others. They also offer working capital loans and Business loans for Small Businesses and is also responsible for the Rural lending business of the bank
 
AbouttheRole
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for maintaining the P&L of the location and for the business expansion and growth of the lending book of the area so as to achieve the topline and profitability goals. The ASM coordinates with the Sales managers to ensure that they are able to respond proactively to the business issues and challenges by providing them with the required guidance and support
 
Key Responsibilities

·Drive the business in the geography through the sales resources and ensure attainment of targets

·Map the business potential in the geography of operation

·Manage the quality of portfolio through soft recovery in early bucket defaults

·Organize activities/events across channels to increase lead generation

·Conduct field visits in case of High value loan proposal

· Liaise with internal stake holders to improve sourcing and ensure quick conversion of business

·Review the weekly business performance report of RMs

Organize training sessions, guide & coach RMs to enable them to attain the desirable sales performance levels

 
Qualifications

Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

·Graduation/ Post-Graduation from a recognized institute

Role Proficiencies:

For successful execution of the job, the candidate should possess the following:

·Knowledge of industry, technology, marketing, and product trends

·Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms

·Good communication (both verbal and written) skill in both English and the local language

·Ability to manage complex client situations

·Ability to manage risk and uncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-setting environment

·Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to coach and mentor others
